See - catching on already

The plain strips are from this guy on ebay

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/vitalvinyls-

Hope the link works. They are a standard size - 1400 x 200mm, in just about any colour you like. Cost just over £5.00 incl P&P NB Need to specify the colour when you pay via paypal, or you will get silver. Anybody want a silver strip contact Tim Court.

The lettering is from JASON DAVIES [dsigns@btinternet.com]- He will sell you two sets of letting for £12.00 - The size TC & I have is 1050x61.3mm. I'm sure he can do any colour you like.

Thanks Andy,

So you order your strip from one guy, and the letters from the other guy?

Do you have to stick the letters to the strip yourself? Isn't this a fiddle to get them straight?

How hard was is sticking the strip to the windscreen?

I bought a Porsche strip all premade - choose the colour of the tint and letters - in Porsche's font.

Do a search for Porsche decals on ebay.

It was a major PITA fitting the strip but worth it in the end!

Ajit.

I would by the two separately - then if you get the strip a bit wonky, you can at least trim it, then put the letters on straight. I've done 2 of these myself (nightmare), but TC is the sunstrip meister - he did the current one for me. I'm sure if you let him have a few laps of your RS @ Oulton he might fit yours for you in one of the garages, but best you ask him directly.

Spray screen/sticky side of strip with water (with a few drops of washing liquid), float the strip into position, when happy force water/air out with a credit card, if windscreen rubbers can be removed at start, it makes trimming round the glass a lot easier.....sorry if I'm teaching people to suck eggs
