I ask after reading the story on the misuse of these devices by South African officers from the ABD "news" website.

Basically they were switching the device to read distance, this was recorded as speed (there is no mph/kph/m indication on the video just a figure)and then taking bribes from motorist to "forget all about it".

Just wondered if they are used in the UK thats all.....MoJo.

Avon & Somerset were using them in July 2001. I got three points from it. I don't know if they're still using the device, although I can't see why they wouldn't be.

From something ive read on a different site, the LTI 20/20 has been ruled illegal in the netherlands.
Lets hope the same gets applied here too.
