Help - Engine will not start

Tried to start my 4.5 yesterday with no result. Pressed black button then the alarm fob, but buzzer did not come on as usual (although there was a muted noise in the background). Pressing the black button simply did not fire the car up.

Trickle charged the battery for 24 hours, but still unable to start the car today.

Car is garaged overnight.

Had a similar problem on my 4.2 in the summer. Called the nice chaps at Peninsula and was told to unplug the ignition control box located on top of the petrol tank in the boot. I did this, left it unplugged for 10 minutes, reconnected and all was fine again.

The symptoms sound very similar.

Appreciate your response. Left it on the Optimate trickle charger overnight but still could not start this morning. Will try your suggested method.
