You have my deepest sympathies, dear fellow.
At least you had the road to yourself this morning !!
The M40 was a dream - nothing on the road until the M442 junction, so an opportunity to give the taxi some proper right foot was the order of the day !
Still feel rubbish tho' - can't see me sitting here all day....
Chin chin!

Thanks guys - I suddenly feel a whole lot brighter knowing that the cognescenti are back with the prog.
Jesus, I don't think I stopped quaffing garbage for the last 48 hours - I feel like even The Grim Reaper passed me by cos I looked so shocking.
Anyway; what did Santa bring you lot?
I got more DVDs than HMV (
) which will keep me entertained for several months (list to follow, how sad) and even more
- the old Lotus track day but confusingly renamed the Johnny Herbert/Rockingham/Lotus Experience - doh?
Eh?
Can't see too much twisty entertainment at the oval, can you?
Oh yeah - and a sh1t load of car mags and like everyone else, no doubt, the latest Clarkson effort which I deeply enjoyed.
For the price of a good F355 you could get a Noble M12 GTO and a 2nd hand Tuscan or M5 or P1/RB5 - that Noble looked SO damned good!
Then again, you could always get a GTR...oh b*ll*cks - there's simply TOO MUCH choice.
That Flasheresque Tam looked divine too although I was as horrified as you Greg (I assume you've seen it?) when Jezza out dragged the Boxster in the Tiv? Er, and the point is..?
OmiGod - what about that Murcielago too? And the Skyline with 1000 bhp? My beetle suddenly feels lamer than a duck with no flippers.
(Btw, got chased up a hill on Xmas eve by an M3 loon; record precipitation and far too little alertness by moi-meme - holy sh1t! back end all over the bloody show as Mr.2nd gear decided he was a gremlin with aggressive, spikey teeth. Whatever basic mechanical traction there was seemed to reign things back on tack but it all goes to show there ain't no avoiding Captain Physics and his bleedin' laws. Pesky M3 - held on quite well till R2 tripped the switch...)
Oh crap, I feel dire again...

Blimey DeR - if Xmas festivities don't include getting a bit sozzled then shame on you sir ! Glad you held up okay....
Well, t'was an alcoholic Xmas in our household - for medicinal reasons, you understand. We got 24 bottles of wine from various rellies - seen a fair bit of it too, particularly the sparkling Chardonnay. Yum !
Plenty of DVDs (good, as the television was abysmal, as always), loads of clothes, more cufflinks than you can shake a stick at, and vouchers a plenty. I shall hold back on spending them, as I do not wish to see the inside of a shop for some time yet.
Held out until yesterday, then could take it no longer. Despite a brisk walk on Xmas night, the cars had been garaged. But, a ray of sunshine yesterday afternoon heralded the opening of the garage door, and Gorgeous George was given a thorough workout, rewarded with a tankful of Shell's finest spirit.
It may not be as fast as a Tamora, but we were still both grinning like idiots when we got home.

Nah, sod that, I'd miss the blatent extensions de phallacisieme which so colour this vaccuous life...
Mungo - any room on the plane to Katmandu?
(Do they have derestricted roads in Nepal?)
Oh no...
I've genuinely not felt this bad since watching Heavy Chaucer at Geordie City Hall in 1987. The seminal 'waking up in bed with two dozen road maintenance implements' experience.
Dear me.

I wish I could be at work. Too much to do when I get back. Probably need a few 10-12 hour days to catch up for a week off, however the site is shut and no possibility of doing any work, so s0d the Drugs & alcohol policy and out for a few beers.
I wish all of you that have to work (especially the publicans) a quiet/busy/productive/relaxed** time until after the new year.
