What's the Amp + Cold cranking for 996 TT

please - who can tell me the correct amp and cold cranking power for a 2002 996 Turbo ?

I've heard 78, 82 or 86 amp and over 650 cold cranking is necessary.

Is it safe to over specify a battery if so by how much ?

The rating on the battery for CCA and continuous Ah can be as large as you like i.e. overspecifying won't be a problem. Specifying a battery with a CCA smaller than standard could give you problems on cold days (i.e. battery not capable of supplying load)

Can't help with the CCA and Ah numbers on the original battery, but just take a look at the one you have and make sure your new one has the same or larger numbers
