Ok then whats a reasonable time for Spa in the Escort...I've been playing it for a couple of days

and on the amateur setting with

auto box and clutch
steering help
Traction control on
anti lock brakes

I'm currently down to 2:54

oh yeah give me a break on some of the numpty settings im using a keyboard. so the traction, stearing and anti lock are a must to get it to point in th eright direction.. they even let you use them in pro mode with kdb...

Ther is probably still quite a lot of time to find, so i just wondered what everyone else was getting..

Must have pressed the spell check 'off' button while bashing that keyboard

Why don't you get racing with us online, and then you can see just how well you are doing?

Im amazed you can get arund the track on the keyboard :P

I found the keyboard very very hard comapred to the wheel, even with the help.

You can get a cheap USB wheel on ebay for hardly any money, well worth the investment IMO.

it is just about impossible without anti-lock and traction control, but managable with. slides are very difficult though and it almost always spins on the fishtail...

I'll get a wheel at some point and then I might try joining the PH server, but at the moment i wouldnt want to risk runining someones race

It will be interesting to compair real times when i go to spa in june

I don't normally drive the Escort but I've just done a couple of laps of Spa, this is the quicker of the two.
Missed a few apex's and found it a bit understeery in the slow corners and almost outbraked myself at the new bustop.

2m47.2s - uploaded the replay here - www.mercia.biz/GTL/Spa-2m47-2s.Vcr

Sounds about right a bit understeery and easy to end up travelling in the wrong direction at the bus stop

I must get a wheel...
