exhaust snapped!
Discussion
Passenger side exhaust can looked a good few inches lower than the other... upon examination..it has snapped! At the point where the weld meets the first box...
I had a similar problem with my my car's exhaust where the bracket that bolts to the car had cracked (not along the weld, but the metal itself; had it temporarily fixed by National until the next service which was about 2 months away. It held and was fixed under the warranty (still had to pay labour - 45.00)
Had a word with dream machines and as you suggest if its the weld thats gone and that is how it looks then no biggy...if i need it replaced then, well no point in worrying just yet.
Ru1 that's bad news but perhaps not too bad, i think HHC were doing a complete sports system cans etc. for £600. If not then perhaps a pipe welded into the box and a set of new cans from carbon can co at about £340 ish? I have a set of these on order and should get mid Jan.
Car is going in for 1K service on the 8th Jan will know the sp then.

Jeez, the welding snapped before the 1K service...?! I have had mine for 3K now from new, and I thought the minor niggles I have had with mine (radiator leaking, and fuel injection system part breaking) were bad enough...
I can understand the engine breaking through mis-use etc, but surely this sort of thing is bad worksmanship?
Still smiling though, really don't think you can beat a Tuscan for sheer good fun or headturning...

Sorry mate, i thought at the time it may be a bit confusing, the cars got 14K on her and is nearly 2 yrs old.
Just running in after full engine re-build recently and did get to see the change up lights again WAAAHEEYYY!! and then the firking exhaust snapped
oh yes and the heater packed up 4 days after i had managed to keep her below 3Krpm for 1Kmiles
and the chuffin passenger door opened itself.. nearly managed to chuck the missus out on the motorway. She now calls the car Christine ;0
But like you say what the hay, when she's on form my smile is far broader than any of my porsche driving colleagues and that includes the 996 boys

mine snapped on the suzuki, took it to BlueFlame (www.blueflameperformance.com/) and they fitted me a bespoke ss exhaust with my choice of pipe for £275 all in.
It comes with a lifetime guarntee as well.

The exact same thing has happened to me on my current car and my previous Tuscan. I have taken them both to Racing Green to be welded. Not many people/dealers would take on the job... I think to weld stainless steel you need MIG/TIG(?) welding equipment. Both of the exhausts had to be removed from the car (I think the passenger side is above the drivers side exhaust as it runs down the centre of the car) before they it could be welded. Something about sparks under the fuel tank I think... Anyway, I think it cost me half an hours labour plus vat.
Hope this helps
