Just go an XBOX360 at the weekend with King Kong and PGR3.

Both games are way too dark, even with the contrast cranked right up, i get lost in the Shadows of PGR3. I have a 32in Panasonic 100Hz CRT TV, short of buying a HDTV, is there anything else i can do?

Also, i purchased an extra controller, but could not find an option to play one to one against my mate on PGR3. Surely you can multiplay without going down the xbox-live route for PGR3?

Cheers

King Kong has a "known problem" with being too dark on normal TVs, it was only ever tested on HiDef TVs! muppets.

Not sure on PGR3, although I think it gets a little too dark in some places.

Oh and you can play multiplayer PGR3.

You need to create an offline profile on your xbox for your mate to "sign in" with.

Rob, which TV lead are you using to connect up with, I found the RGB Scart lead made a huge diff on my lads connection (over the basic lead into the scart adaptor arrangement). Mine runs on a 36" Tosh CRT via the premium leads (now I get component and composite confused, this is connected using the better of the two, with an optical lead for the sound, text is very clear, its not HD but not too bad this way round. Not played Kong but did read somewere that it is only good on a HD screen, was written for HD...

Thanks for the replies folks.

I'm using the lead i got with the XBOX, although it is plugged into the front of the TV (yellow white red seperately) as my two scarts are in use. Are you suggesting an aftermarket lead then?

Trying to work on the wife that we are in need of an LCD HDTV!!

Cheers
