You can get one, just need to look around carefully.

I got mine for not much more than that last year and I haven't had any problems so far, in fact it just performed faultlessly on a trackday.

I just sold a 98 2.5 with 44k miles for £12750 including a decent plate (PXM 34) - see classified. The car was up at £14.5k ish, but as the guy I'm selling for is in NZ now, a quick sale was needed. The car drives very well, had a service 200 miles ago, but could do with a few minor nicks and dents sorting. All in, a very tidy car that was sold at £20k 2 1/2 years ago. So, yes, as long as you're prepared to keep looking. I would say that the car, without the plate (£500ish) should have gone for about £13.5k

If you look hard and bargain hard you will get something decent for 12-13.........I saw a ropey (ie had bad paintwork etc) V reg 2.7 in an auction a few weeks ago struggle to £10.5K, but you get what you pay for, the car was foul.
