OK, continuing on from my DIY Media Centre idea, I wonder if anyone can offer any perls [SIC] of wisdom.

I have a laptop that will show AVIs, DVDs etc via the S-video to the TV, and that works well, but I still have to grovel in front of the TV to start/pause, etc.

I was wondering if it would be possible to use a web server on the machine to start/stop, etc, and access this via my PSP to select the file, etc.

Any thoughts/suggestions/offers_to_write_it_for_me/downloads welcomed.

Yes, I know I can do this via YARC (yet another remote control), but like the idea of showing value to SWMBO by using the PSP!

Not using the PSP inbuilt IR (if it has one)

Its Sony so it wont have a CF slot either I'm guessing.

You can do it via the browser if you use Winamp and the Browseamp plugin, this isnt media centre specific though as its not Media Player.

There me be something for WMP directly but I cant think of anything off the top of my head, when I'm back in the 'lab' I'll see what I can come up with for WMP specifically.
