Just out of interest has anyone mounted any small speakers around the dash area of a Mark 1 Tuscan? Just trying to engineer a solution for mounting some MB Quart DSC 108's up front on the shelf. There used to be a link on the site to someone that had, but that seems to have disappeared these days.

This thread shows nice job of speakers in front panel www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=139018&f=5&h=0&hw=speaker

If you do a search with word speaker on Tuscan thread you will see other options.

Try this, www.zen34862.zen.co.uk/tvrpics/stereo.html, I copied this install but with a different amp, sounds superb. The front pod speakers realy do the job.

Thanks Mr T thats the pics I was trying to find! How deep did you cut the tubes out of interest?

The tubes are about 100mm long. I covered them in matching trim. The fit is very tight, but I got mine in and bolted back up. Used evostick, you need to make sure the glue is not one that dries too brittle, or it could crack when you start to bolt the shelf back up. Fitted Infinity 3.25" speakers into mine, they look very slick and sound awesome.

That's great. Like the idea of the 3.5 in speakers. Will give it some front end focus. Think I will try this.

I was just going to post about this but I couldn't find any photos. Could you take a photo and post it?

inspired by the Link above i've taken the 100mm speakers out of the side panel and replaced them with some 130mm efforts

http://ph.uncle-dave.co.uk/upload/ima

then put the 100mm ones into a housing and put them on the shelf bit of a squeeze, will see how they do, may get some newer better quality ones

http://ph.uncle-dave.co.uk/upload/ima

next job is to replace this ugly thing (in the car when i got it)

with this:

but in a subtle enclosure like this:

probably easier said than done......

This is scary! I read this topic, clicked on the link at Zen and recognised my car! I think the previous owner put this on there. At least I can see how he did the work.
