Yep the rear bushes, by the sound of your description, are the mk2 Escort items. Try the following web address for a company who do reasonably priced polybushes (uk made too): www.deflex.co.uk

Rear shocks are the type used on the mk1 floorpan (same floorpan was used in the mk2 van it seems). These have the loop at both ends, also refered to as eye/eye fitting

hope this helps

Just like Jim Reeves (WHO HIM??!!) and his song "A stranger is just a friend you do not know" (shows how many horror movies he had watched in his lifetime!!) These problems should be regarded as "learning opportunities".

We get this re branded bollockology all the time in education from the politicians and experts; why should the Jago forum miss out on this advance in the English language!!!!!! Like they keep saying forwards not backwards.

Kit cars are just giant Meccano- relatively simple in mechanical terms but requiring a certain mental attitude to make progress. This forum provides the motivation to keep going. Try to find someone local who is just as mental (ie another owner), or get yourself along to a few shows and meet those of us who are. You are guaranteed a warm welcome. Cos we like to be reminded that there are others out there like us !!!

Cheers

Of course it's normal- you should see my driveway. I'd have more cars if I had more space.
What's not normal about wanting more of what you enjoy???

Why, only this morning I was pining for the 1600 4spd I sold two years ago.

The trick is to retain motivation and keep progressing (however slowly) on all fronts- which is what this forum and the club are all about.
Cheers
