What a brilliant site! I am sure there is enough collective knowledge here to answer any questions going. I will start with an easy one. I need to get my S2 seviced by a reputable person who knows these cars around the Southampton area. My car is brilliant, as I am sure they all are, and don't want some high street servicing company to ruin my car! I have left mine undercover for over 3 months (I have been away otherwise it would have been out!) and connected the battery up and she fired up before I could fully turn the key, settling into a clean idle - brilliant! Throttle cable is sticking which will probably need a little lubrication to free it a little. Would also like someone to give it the once over to highlight if there are any issues - over £14,000 of receipts incluiding new exhaust, roof, trailing arms etc so hopefully no nasty surprises. Plan to take the better half around Scotland and Holland over the summer and can't wait. Anyway, will stop here and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Nice to see another Southampton 'S' enter the fold 
I do all of the routine maintenance and repairs on mine so can't really recommend a particular garage from experience. The S is not a complex or complicated piece of engineering and any proper mechanic should find the S easy to work on..As just an average 'weekend mechanic', I've found most jobs pretty straightforward. Also, they use mostly Ford parts which are readily available and inexpensive.
A copy of Steve Heath's Bible will prove invaluable when working on the old girl. After that, any other questions you may have about the S are bound to be answered by someone here...
