Can't play GTL
Discussion
You can get it to run on a 32mb card.
If you tweak the drivers and set the same to low res and detail you should be able to get it playable to some extent.
I would try it anyway, it might be ok.
If its impossible to play then you can build a PC capable of running this game fairly cheaply.

I cant play GTL and im running;
3.2 ghz p4
1.5gb DDR2 RAM
160gb harddrive
the reason, the gfxs card is knackered, can only run the pc at 600x480 or something atm, i think it blew. its a ATi X600XT
So you mean it will work with a 32MB Video card thing?
You don't know the grief I'm getting over it
the card is a 128Mb PCI-X thingy too. It crashes the whole system if you try running it must be the card as it used to run no problem. Do you know how I can check out whats at fault
, problem being not only does the card crash it reboots the whole machine, which I'm lead to beleive is a undesirable trait of the ATI cards, or is it, hope its not the motherboard/CPU
..........Try updating your drivers..
use these instead
www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php
Otherwise, have a look in Start > Run > type dxdiag and click OK, then run the Graphics tests

before you buy. Try the GTL Demo and download it to try it out first to see if your PC can handle it.

No ideas about the demo...
As for Omega drivers, they aren't the official ATI release, I suppose you could call them a patched version. I have always found they work better, some might prefer ATI's own but they sometimes cause problems. If you install the latest XP drivers from the Omega website then your problems might be solved
In 90% of cases the drivers are the problem.
Dave.
