Are my auto switching headlights supposed to work in fog?

'cos they don't.

That's fine and I guess it's 'cos whilst it seems to be dull because of limited visibility, the light levels are actually quite high.

Any thoughts?

Think they work by lumins, and as u say in fog there is brightness so they dont react.
