Any ideas if one is able to buy a USB pad with multiple buttons on it that can be used for various functions for example the mapping of hotkeys in GT Legends?

Tried a quck scour of eBay but can only see controllers, can't really be bothered smashing up a control pad and making something, but could be a last resort.

The Belkin Nostromo Speedpad springs to mind, but that might be a bit of overkill if you're just after a *few* programmable buttons...

Belkin Nostromo Speedpad. Absolute dog's danglies for fps's. Superb for leaning round corner in infiltration and snap-shooting some poor sap in the back of the head whilst they can't see you. A perfect example of better equipment making you play better. No idea if it's any good for racing games; never tried it. It does support macros, so I'd thoroughly recommend it. I've got the N50, the newer N52 looks like having some more buttons, and possibly a better shape for longer play. Not enough change for me to justify upgrading, though.
It's also possible to get usb number pads. For accountants with laptops, I assume; I think Cherry do one, and I've seen some cheap (<£10) examples out there. With a lifetime best measured in minutes, I'd guess.
Gyration do a mouse with enough buttons to be called a keyboard extension, but its for serious graphics design and has a similarly serious price tag.
There is also a similar product that allows you to place as many keys as you want, where you want -

You'd have to be fairly dedicated to want to go for it though....a tad pricey.

I'd got for the belkin as its actually aimed at gamers, and cheap at @£20.

It would be good just to get one of the number pad thingies, seen some Japanese ones on eBay.. it wouldn'thave really heavy usage so no worries about lifespan really.

Hmm.. might just modify a controller.

Considering getting a Logitech Wingman Force3D now, I can make a Sequential Gear Shifter using it's Force Feedback then wire up a switch or 3 to the circuit board of the Jstick..

Plus I can probably pick one up for £10-15 from eBay!
