I think there should be two cans. You can not miss them.

Only place they could be hidden is if they are velcoed up in the 'tunnel' at the top and far outside of the boot (where the handels to open the doors are).

If you need to buy them then they are a few quid from Halfords. I have noticed that there are two sizes for sale, though. I would have thought, from tales on here about needing to use both cans on a flat, that it would be worth getting the larger size.

As it happens I need to replace one of my cans so let me know how you get on .

Hi Joe,

I was wondering when you were going to turn up on here............

Get 2 cans of Tyre Weld from Halfords and keep them in the boot. I've never needed them but better safe than sorry. They don't cost too much.

The rear tail light you mentioned on another thread can be accessed from the boot - just need to remove some of the velcro-ed carpet. In my experience, it could be a blown fuse (fuse-box located under the steering wheel - fuse layout somewhere in the manual), or an electrical gremlin. For example, my rear light used to (and still does) seem to blow when I put it into reverse...!!!

Good luck and hope the new Tam is treating you well.

Cheers,
James

Hi James,
How are you doing? Firstly may I offer further apologies re our deal. I hope you decide to keep the Tam as deep down I got the impression you would be gutted to sell it.

No real problems yet and I'll take your advice re the puncture repair cans and tail light. Will be sending it in for a service soon as the last one was 17 months ago at 4800 miles. Now still only done 7000 miles but requires checking over I believe.

Im now begining to understand what a great marque TVR is. Despite the Lotus F1 pedigree, at this point I much prefer the Blackpool beasts. I am attempting to drive this daily so lets see what happens. Possibly getting some 2nd hand alloys shortly as the 18s look awesome in comparison to the 16's. Have you seen the tam headlight conversion kit at silverstoneperformance.com? Looks great but a grand is too much to spend at this point.

Have you decided what to do about your tam then?
Cheers
J

I too could'nt find the puncture repair can in my recently purchased Tam. Ended up going down to Halfords and purchasing two cans which I keep in the boot along side a pump.

Pump!!!! Argh jeeez theres another thing I need. Flat tyre, no can, no pump = no drive!! No wonder I got that Tam on the cheap :-) Will have to pay a visit to Halfords asap.

Gas.

Make sure they don't go off in the boot. They make a proper mess.

I punctured one with the roof! You can't believe how quickly you get a foam party!

Interesting point re unwanted inflation. Cue the velcro i think, just in case. :-)
