I wouldn't put Mobil 1 in a 4.0 Griff, but that's another story! You also have the original 5-spoke alloys, which are getting rare.
Now you need to get the 'Griffith & Chimp Handbook' by Steve Heath because the more you know and understand about the breed, the more enjoyment and the fewer troubles you'll have. Excellent bedtime reading...

did the ebay thing with my TT as well, didnt really have my eye on it until really late, thought "feck it, why not" and spent 13 grand just like that. the TT has been an examplar of reliability. even the dashpod works 
hope i have the same luck with the tiv, although i am contact with the seller and he's a nice chap who i imagine would help me out should i need any in future
think i must have a lunatic streak but makes life a bit more exciting.
as someone said earlier, i think parting with it could prove to be very hard to do

..... i thought about bidding on it, holding on to it it for a month or two and then selling it for a quick profit of a couple of K's..... then thought let someone who really wants a Griff have it at a bargin price.
I know chassis chassis chassis...... but as its a couple a few k cheaper then the classifiedsworth the risk, providing of course you have the few k, also its got a years MOT so someone must have looked at the chassis recently and what is visible must have been sound
