Get your name down for April 8th at Santa Pod. 13.5secs is not too bad a time if it was your first attempt? But with 375bhp you should be capable of 12.8secs.

Don't know about shitty, but it's definitely slippery! Any sign of cold weather or moisture in the air and it's a nightmare to launch the Cerb.

You'll be ok after a couple of launches, ignore the starting lights for your first couple of runs and just concentrate on clutch/throttle control, once you've got the balance between the two right, you'll be ok. I've been to SP a couple of times and still mess up the start

Ignore the starting lights? I thought that was the whole point? TBH Im not really that bothered, my 1st time at such a thing so Im coming for the craic and the experience. Will be a top day however I personally perform NJW 77 said:

The timing gear doesn't start until you break the timing beam with your wheels, so unless you are "racing" the person in the other lane then it doesn't really matter. The first time I went it was quite nerve wrecking and I didn't want to make a fool of myself, so I just launched when I felt ready and not necessarily when the lights changed. Half the time the other car got a good headstart, but by the finish line the Cerb was always ahead
I know I could launch better than I currently do, as the late Jason Bennett and Dave Smith have proved in their Cerbs, but it's all about the fun on the day that makes it such a good event, and makes it so addictive.
