Ive got a friend who's pc is no longer autocompleting new emails which are being composed. She cant find the option to enable autocomplete, and I dont use outlook. Can anyone help with a few step by step instructions?

You'll need the original office CD in the Drive.

Launch Outlook

Help => Detect and repair.

restart

Worked for me the other day.

Oh, Express, sorry, though you meant proper outlook.

www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/web/autocomplete.mspx

But I'll bet that is ticked, and something is a bit b0rked.

You could try unticking, closing, re launching ticking.....etc...

Do the opposite to the instructions below for turning it off:

On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options, and then click Advanced E-mail Options.
Clear the Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields check box.
