I don't think any times set today will be of any relevance, it will be tomorrow's times that will tell the true story. Too many teams carrying out set up and tyre evaluation and not going for quick runs today..

On the subject of the V10 team (Torro rosso) I wonder how they are going to 'limit' it so that they don't have an unfair advantage - a rev limit would be logical but then everyone says that the V8's only really lose out on torque against the V10 - and the torque would probably only be of relevance at less than max revs. I'd suggest that the Torro Rosso team has a significant advantage on low to mid range grunt if not total BHP at high revs.

If you think about the circuits that need a torquey engine to give the grunt out of the corners, such as Monaco, Torro Rosso would, as far as I can see, have a definite advantage. GET YOUR BETS ON FOR MONACO....

Are they not just using an intake restriction? That way it'll affect the engine at all revs, and be easier to enforce.

I thought it was a two-way restriction, reduced air-intake and a rev-limiter?

MM won't do anything until his new best friend Mr Matchstick has got some points on the board and therefore his F1 travel paid for.
