Hi - I'm a new member living in Hong Kong and I've only had my car 10 days.
I've been sourcing a set of Fuchs for the car new..Carrera 3.2 1989
Tracked down 2 Fuchs 16 x 7's for the front & 2- 16 x 8's Fuchs off a 930 Turbo
These 8" Turbo wheels evidently have original bluish / black painted paddle inserts.
Will the Turbo Fuchs fit my 1989 3.2 Carrera & how are they different - if at all

I am unable to see them physically or get a scan as they're in a remote village in China !! (don't ask).
Cheers Richard

From my understanding they should be OK, depending on the year, they were available as an option for the 3.2 carrera because they fill the arches better, I couldn't find any so I've put spacers on my original fuchs, they fill out the arch and slightly improve handling

If they are off a 930 I thought the rears should be 9 inch.

They were on my supersport and definitely are on my 930..

Yes 100% they're off 930 Turbo so I guess they must be 9's then

Yes, they'll fit, I had 7 and 9 X 16 on my '89 3.2 without any problems.

Not buying from China off eBay are you?

Nice car BTW. Must be a fairly rare beast in Hong Kong. Loads of good twisty hilly roads though

You are both right.
930 had 8 inch rears up to I think '85 model year, and 9's thereafter.

Thanks guys, just confirmed to buy them.
Actually they were found in two diferent garages in two of the new teritory provinces....the bloke had no idea of their worth - cost me 230 quid for the 4.
My mechanic checked the ref #'s and discovered that the two rears are turbo 930's and he said are different - wider to the std 16 x 8's he's seen....
Not seen them myself yet.

Loads of great drives in the New teritories with the Collectors Car Club chaps ...dawn raid stuff and night runs after 10pm the roads here are deserted ...

There were some good ones round the Island as well when I was a lad. Repulse Bay to Shek O and bay in to the city from the easy was great.
