Has anyone coloured the inside of there softop?

Hi,

I've used Renovo hood reviver and Thomson's water seal on the roof and it's looking better for it!

However the inside of the folding section that used to be white or cream is now tinged brown and a bit manky; water seepage over time has done its worst.

I tried renovo and it's worked fairly well, I want to recolour the inside black as well but after 3 applications its turned no more than a variable tone of grey.

Any suggestions? should I apply more coats or has anyone used another product to good effect?

Had mine recovered in biscuit fabric the same as 1 of the interior colours of magnolia and biscuit ,lifts the inside completely,makes the interior so much more finished and upmarket. Also appears to lift the roof level, and makes the interior so much lighter.A good spend at £140.00.Consider it adds value and salebility,if that ever arises,not seen any other example which is strange considering the transformation.Don't know what it would be like in a dark colour but anything is better than ths standard finish!!!.

I had a new roof fitted in burgundy with black backing. It looks superb from inside for all the reasons you anticipate - matches the interior, the carbon finish on the hard roof section etc. Short of a full retrim I'd try a fabric paint - but be wary of any 'seeping through' to the outside and ruining the appearance of the outside. As all the best instructions say, 'test on an incospicuous area first'.

It is mostly glass fibre (I believe), but with a layer of carbon fibre on the underside to make it look good.
