Paint coming of my T350

As I work away from home I thought I would give my car a wash and polish so it will be nice and shiney for when I return. I plugged my trickle charger in and was just throwing a few sheets over it when I saw what I thought to be a small amount of over spray on the black painted triangles which are behind the rear side windows.
Thought it was funny that I hadnt notice it before, oh well a bit of T-cut will sort it out I thought. To my horror when I had finished all I had done was to rub off most of the black paint

Has any one else experienced this ?

The same happened to my first T when I got some overspray of tar and glue remover on the one side wiping it off removed the paint, was mortified but then took the opportunity to change the colour looked much better imo whatever TVR use is very soft it probaly needs a topcoat which they don't use to keep it flat.
