Rear Screens

Somebody posted about the guy in Swindon who repairs and restitches rear screens, I've just noticed the Chim needs doing.

There is a chap called Peter Jay who is based in Wheathampstead who does roofs etc.... ( abit nearer then Swindon..... depends where yo have this car being tinkered with though )

Funily enough ARP have offered to do it, so problem solved.
Steve Howard will do the tinkering, remind me to introduce you to him Steve, I think you will be impressed.

A & R pound did mine, cant say they did a good job though Derek?? I had to have it re-done as they didnt put it in straight first then after re-stitching it again its all frayed, I guess due to being stitched too many times in the same area?? Something to think about?? as I am now having to replace the roof because of it?

The owners of Cobourns are Tony and Julia and they are the best in the business. Because of this they are pricey but believe me worth every penny.

If you take a look at what they have done you will see they are not run of the mill and yes I have used them several times including a full re carpet of my Griff. Porsche main dealers use them to sort out the "perfect" interiors as part of the PDIs.

Tiz I who recommend a 'top bloke' in Swindon.
His name is Mike Jones, works from home, he did my targa top last year (cracking job Gromit!) and I hope to get intouch with him in the late spring to redo the back hood. Came highly recommended to me. Works on all convertibles and uses BAS hoods for the right material for the S series. If you contact him tell him I haven't forgotten him and to leave a space in the diary for me, come late spring time!!!
