Would have thought it a simple operation but how do you check the diff oil level?

On mine (with the earlier diff) take off drivers side rear wheel and stick your head into the wheel arch to find the "filling hole" plug in the side of the diff. I think that I remenber undoing this with a socket set extension bar as it fits the "square" in the plug. Then undo it and squeeze in oil til it just overflows. Then it's at the right level.

Another highly technical description but I hope you see what I mean.

mines a 95 and access is tight you have to put your hand between the body and axle case at the rear of the case even with a ramp its tight, even more awkward if it needs topping up,hope this is some use.Dont forget to use proper fitting tools if u round this off your in trouble.A bit time consuming thats all if your on the floor.you might not have same unit though.
