Loud 964 C2 - needs a good thrashing
Discussion
Winter is coming to an end and my 964 is in need of a good trashing to clear out the spiders.
The car is fitted with a Cat Bypass, Cup Pipe and RUF twin tail pipes and I'm told has an estimated noise level of 105db - makes the windows rattle everytime I start it up :0
The majority of tracks (truxton, castle coombe and Keevil - my locals) have set limits between 100 and 105db - therefore the car will, at best be border-line.
Therefore what to do - I do not want to remove the current exhaust system and the A303 at 03.00am is a bit risky.
Your thoughts please.
Andy.

Castle Combe is the one circuit in the country where noise really does cause problems. (Bedford also has quite harsh limits but it`s not a race circuit). Most of the reputable trackday companies will offer "noisy" days as well as noise limited days. Donnington Park, Silverstone, Snetterton are all tracks which offer trackdays that should suit your car. Check out someone like Goldtrack and they`ll be able to advise. You won`t need to cross the channel if you don`t want to.
