It's soooo close....

Need some advice here, not a big thing, but worrying.
My car hasn't moved more than 3 miles since Monday, ok, Xmas mid week didn't help, but even the week before I didn't do more than 30 and I regularly do 150 - 200 miles a week.
The reason is simple. 98 Weeks ago on a sunny tuesday afternoon in February I passed my Driving Test after 4 months of hard work, and reading all the anti speed, PC, and general anti car stuff that gets reported on Here and in the papers etc, I don't want hundreds of pounds to be thrown away because I get done for speeding twice in the next 6/7 weeks, as on the 19th February 2003 my Probation and 6 Points Limit is over. No points at the moment, but I can just see it happening. Even though I haven't got any points just now, I can just see it happening.
Now, is this the right way to go about it, or should I just say, to hell with it and get on with enjying petrol the way it should be?
All this talk on another thread I started about Uprating the cam shaft etc sort of hit it home tonight, that I won't need to uprate the Camshaft If I get six points in 6 weeks.
It's sooooo close but I can see those bastards trying to take it away.

Can you not just take your eyes completely off the road and watch your speedometer?? Seriously though, whats the point in not driving - as long as you dont drive like an idiot you wont get done. Even then, what are you going to do when your 6point limit is taken off? will you be too worried about getting 12 points instead???
Wake up! - Get in that car and drive. Whats the point avoiding driving to avoid not being able to drive?????
do it, you know it makes sense!

Wake up boy! You've passed your driving test and need to hone/improve your driving skills. Watching your car slowly rot on the driveway is not going to do this. Learn to drive sensibly and efficiently (I don't mean tickover in 5th gear) and you'll be doing yourself a big favour. Sitting on a couch dreaming about driving is just making things worse
Forget about modifying the car - especially if you are worried about cost. The potential insurance penalties are far worse than anything the local magistrate/traffic police are going to do to you.
Even leaving the car parked up isn't going to save you from points on your license if it isnt kept in good condition and the best way to do that is to use it!
I had 3 points on my license within a month of passing my test all because of a rusty front wing that a passing policeman took a dislike to....
Admittedly I then went on to get two speeding offences (1 a year for the next 2 years). I would say you are being paranoid but sometimes that pays off.
