Loeb - first privateer world rally champ since Vatanen?
Discussion
Despite being in a privateer team (I know that is a point of contention), Loeb is still extremely competitive in this year's WRC. Two second place finishes and a rally win is a very solid start, and he doesn't seem to be fading.
Will Sebastian Loeb become the first privateer to become World Rally Champion since Ari Vatanen in 1981?
....Or will Marcus Gronholm flatten him?

i couldn't give a monkeys about whether Loeb wins the championship or not, what i am concerned about is supporting British drivers such as Wilson, Mchale, Meeke and Wilks, and hoping that one of them makes it to a works team imminently, in order to safegurad the future of the sport in the UK, That way Richards can
the championship up as much as he likes but some British interest will see us through with TV etc.
