Hi

My company has recently purchased a good few domains (the usual .co.uk and .com) through Register1. We now need to buy some domains for a client for various EU countries and I'm not sure what the best way to do it is?

We could use someone like EuroDNS.com but I'd rather stay with our usual provider and have all the domains we work with managed by the one company. (Actually, we currently use a mix of Register1 and Easily). Is it possible to buy .de, .it, .fr, etc. domains through Register1 or Easily and if not, can I buy through another company and then transfer such domains to them?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

roadie.

Foreign TLDs cause no end of paperwork hassle and grief (ask Ted!)

.fr for example, you have to be a resident in France to buy
.it you need to fill out alot of paperwork, have your DNS and hosting setup and VALIDATED in advance, then fax alot of documents over..

Its just not viable to offer them on the Register1 business model.

We do offer them via one of my other companies, but this is primarily for PLCs and Larger Corps who don't blink at paying £x00 per domain!

I think in this instance, you'd be best advised to google around, find somewhere decent looking offering what you're after, and trying it.
