Congestion Charging - A Potential Swerve!

Just been home for lunch and caught a quick thing that was a trailer for BBC London.

Basically its a clip off the Danny Baker show with a chap who is a chauffer in Central London telling him how he is swerving the congestion charge.

Apparently if one can obtain an oxygen tank and some dressings then you can register your car as an ambulance!

Ambulances are of course exempt, oh, and to retarget as an ambulance the dressings and oxy tank do only have to be there at the time of registration...

Might be worth a look.

Can't see that one working for too long. Will have to look into it though as my travel bill for the year is set to rocket thanks to this particular bright idea (congestion charging that is - not the ambulance bit)

Let's see what the most pistonheaded 'C' charge-free vehicle is - leave out bikes as they'd win hands down. Electric and hybrids are free, so what about a tweaked Prius. Then there are PSV's and minicabs. Or how about a McLaren F1 with an Orange disabed badge on it?

I know of a 4.2 Cerberra with an Orange badge, when they decide to display it. Usually when needing to park !
