I've been considering upgrading to something else but couldn't find anything worthy so I'm thinking of keeping it for at least another 15K+ miles and using the BMW when I need four seats. I know I could keep selling and buying cars to maximise resell values but I really can't be bothered with the hassle that comes with that (and I do love mine...) - how long do you think Tuscans can be used for with regular TLC? Does anyone have a high mileage Tuscan out there?

The Tuscan with the highest mileage was on ebay and had 32K on the clock. You heard of any with higher mileage?

Mine's got 36k on it with 2 rebuilds early on and just on it's 3rd clutch. There are quite a few around with higher miles, some of which have never needed major surgery.

Stop it your freaking me out . This is not funny just brought mine and still enjoying it. Its the early type with 12k on it, possibly means 45k as the speedo is less then accurate?

However I think for the fun i get from it I will willingly spend some dosh on a rebuild.

Happy for now

I must have over 65K on my X-reg now. Not obsessed with miles me.

Not too keen on hot-hatches (T350/Saggy's) or the softer Tuscan 2, so im in a bit of a quandry on what next?

aha - mileage. I used to think this was a problem, but I'm not concerned about resale values. I can't see myself selling mine!

Mine's got 31250 on the clock, 2000 model, 2 rebuilds running strong

Good going!

I've got over 27k miles on my '03 car, which isn't driven anywhere near as often as I'd like, so I'm amazed that some of you are averaging much less than that! Maybe this is why some are more unreliable than others - they do respond well to regular driving.

TVRs are for not hiding away!

I sold mine a year ago with 33,500 on the clock (2 rebuilds, one major, one just valve guides), still on its first clutch and dampers.

There's a 2000 W Reg on Autotrader with 69K on it. Full TVRSH with a rebuild - yours for £14250.

Anyone beat that mileage?

No problems at all. Those very helpful people at Silverstone TVR (now Silverstone Performance) sold it for me. The first person to see it bought it and I got a pretty good price for it. I think I was quite lucky by all accounts.

Sold mine last year if I remember correctly had just under 25K no rebuilds and same clutch she was lovely...

A pleasure to drive, but had to go as trying for a family..

Still miss her, but not the running expenses.

Hope shes out there going strong.
