Just a thought.
Discussion
From reading the replies posted on the Slower speeds thread, and some of the comments about the ABD, i wondered if we might do more good, if all of us in our respective areas actually did some research ourselves.
I was thinking along the lines of a standard questionaire that we could use to get a feel for the thoughts of locals.
Maybe even a petition against all these "anti" car measures, and then when we've compiled all these names, present it to either the ABD(for ammo) or direct to Bliar and friends.
We'd be far more effective i think, if we did something like this.
I realise that my "kill the gatsos" stance dosent exactly endear me to all, so i thought maybe give diplomacy a chance?
Im not feeling too well i dont think......

Sounds Like an excellent plan.
As mentioned in a previous thread, my local council are planning to modify the roads around my town (village) centre, there are double yellow lines on both sides of the Main Street, but people ignore them and park there anyway. So instead of enforcing the double yellows they are intending to make it a one way system to remove the congestion, talk about dealing with symptoms instead of the problem.
Hence this has made me think about a petition, as rather than removing the congestion, it will merely move it to another part of the town.
The plans are up in the local library so I will pop along there on Saturday and have a proper butchers.
Thinking about talking to Peter Spinney, Strathclyde Regional ABD Coordinator about how the ABD can help
Worth a shot eh?
