Xbox 360 headset

Anyone know why I can hear people through the headset but cant be heard myself?

The switch on the plastic connector? The old xbox had a light when the headset was on mute but the new one has a slider above the volume control.


Sorry if you've aleady tried this, even though you probably have.

Maybe a duff headset?

Why do you want to hear yourself ??

when you are waiting for a race to start - when speaking into the headset the Audio symbol will light up next to the people who are talking on the screen, when you are talking does yours come on next to your name ??

Try another joypad, myself and another person I know have both had headset issues with our wired joypads and when we went to a wireless joypad, they just went ??

Cheers for the replies. Using a wireless pad at the moment, but will give it a go with a wired one.

I must get myself a headset. the the non offical headset any good?

my local games shop have them but not the offical set
