As I mentioned in the other thread I spent Saturday on top of a Cumbrian mountain for the Malcolm Wilson rally, here's the photos again

Mr Wilson himself

Damian Cole in his Hyundai Accent WRC

The winner Mr Bird

Interesting Angle

It was the 1st round of the new Fiesta Championship, this guy was very lucky not to roll into the ditch

Not content with being half frozen to death on Saturday I spent Sunday at Croft for the rallycross superseries which took place in even more arctic conditions

I left when the conditions worsened

Cheers
Ian

Fantastic pictures Ian, really are superb. Could you tell me what setup you used for those?

The first 5 shots were with a Canon 1D MKII and Canon 70-200 L is lens and the latter ones were again a 1D MKII and the Canon 300mm f2.8 lens

Great stuff, Rallycross is I think one of the most bonkers motorsports around. There's something curiously appealing about a 600BHP shopping trolley!

Hey they're great pictures, the fourth and fifth ones are interesting - what people will do to cu the corner and shave a tenth of a second off their times

Great pictures!
Its always puzzled me why rally cars have front splitters and low bumpers when they always get cut up and destroyed by the terrain, as you can see in all your photos!
