If anyone filmed anything like that in the UK I haven't heard about it. I also think it would be rather stupid to go public with such a tape/video.
Very tempting though. (False plates of course).
Something along the lines of sending it to Alistair Darling and asking him to explain this speed kills bunkum.

I do remember back the very early days of Police! Camera! Stop! there was a tremendous bit of footage of the Five-0 chasing a big bike down the A35 into Bere Regis at over 140mph.
Just as the cops started to close the gap, they cam across some traffic going in both the direction of travel, plus a "train" of oncoming traffic and the biker simply accelerated through the gap, while the poor copper had no choice except to emergency brake to avoid a collision.
I think I've wanted a ZR1100 ever since. They never did catch him.
Of course these days you only see the ones where people get caught, but I understand there are quite a few do do manage to get away.
... question is, how do we get the footage??? (SNIGGER)
