Jon- Shame, the Goodwood run was great fun in the S's. Any idea what you will replace it with yet?

Difficult isn't it. It felt very odd seeing mine drive off into the distance and just being left with an empty garage. Despite going up to Scotland I did see my S again a few times at the VW meetings as the owner moved down south - that was spooky.

Yes, strange seing someone else drive it! I'm still toying with the idea of getting an Elise, just to try something completely different. Hopefully I'll still be able to tag along on some of the runs if the others don't mind an imposter!

That was a quick sale Jon - shows that yours was a good example of the marque. I'm sure I'll find a place for you on any run I organise, but if you don't buy a TVR you'll have to be 'tail end charlie'.

Yes, I was surprised how quickly it went! The chap that bought it seemed like quite an enthusiast, so at least it's going to a good home! Hopefully we'll see it out and about as he lives fairly locally.

I'm glad there'll be space for me at the next run (the quiet one at the back, of course! )

I'm not sure if the new owner is registered on pistonheads, but hopefully we'll see him out and about in the car soon!

I wonder, is it better to sell a car to a local, or someone further away so you're not reminded every so often of what was once yours...

I wouldn't want to bump into my V8 pottering about the lanes of Dorset I don't think.
