The 928 was the best Porsche they ever made, the 911 is so bland these days it would be ace if this coupe returned.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that the Autocar images are their artist's impression of what the cars could look like - they are nothing to do with Porsche!

I only hope they are brave enough to have little (or no) 997 styling similarities, like the original. Unlikely because 928's were ulimately unsuccessful because "true"(?) Porschephiles rejected the whole concept of the car.

I also fear a $200k pricetag which will be an even larger disparity (compared to mortal cars) than the original $60-90k for the S-4/GTS's were. Yet another fantasy DB9/599 dreamcar, which will rarely (if ever) be defiled by daily usage...the raison detre of the 928.

Porsche 942 . . .

I don't think you may call a car that run for about 20 years unsuccesfull . . . I bump into one every now and then: still look very OK to me.
