I raise an eyebrow in the general direction..

New year: Very much like the old one

Is pretty much my attitude to it.. (humbug indeed...)

Nonetheless, has anyone got any good NY Resolutions that they're prepared to share?

One friend of mine plans to work harder in 2003.. I'm having significant conceptual difficulties with that one.

Oh... and please spare me the giving up smoking/drinking/drugs/speeding, going to the gym etc..

Well I have tried to give up smoking - didnt work. Giving up the drink and drugs would be a futile exercise so I didnt bother. I may be giving up speeding but only because the Tiv is going and I have just, this morning, joined a gym for the first time ever. Its actually only the second time I have been in one in the last 30 years...

Matt.

I have many new years resolutions......the list is a long un, but right at the top, itd have to be to get a decent job.
One that for once ill be happy in, that dosent pay slave wages and then expect me to be in at all hours for no real reward.
Does such a job exist for an *ACE* mechanic???
I doubt it very much........

Mungo, how could you ever make a comment like that and then not deliver?! See you on here at 4 tomorrow morning, then...

I've got one resolution - to reduce my body weight by about a stone - without surgery.

Apart from anything else, that ought to be worth about half a second when sprinting, without spending anything on performance-enhancing tweaks - to the car, that is

1; Stop moaning (this will be cured by No3)
2; Get fit again (No 3 will help fund this)
3; Find a new job that pays £**,*** (or better still $**,***)
4; Get a new car (Nissan 350Z),(or maybe even a Boxster if No 3 is good)
5; Pass all the exams that I have set as my targets (this will help with No3)
6; Go Ski-ing in Chile in July (couldnt get away this winter due to lack of funds (see No 7)(will need to accomplish No 3)
7; Screw every penny out of the muppets who built my house and have caused No1 and No6 (this could also help with No3, No6, No4 and No 2)
8; Have a good Christmas next year (this will be accomplished if I complete No 1 - No 7)

My new years resolution is to stop existing and start living. Failing that getting sex more than once would be good.....

Best way to lose weight - Running - hurts but works!

Start off with 1 - 2 miles at a time build up to 4 miles every other night - You won't believe the difference after 2 or 3 months! I promise!

Thanks for that! You've made me change my mind. Surgery it is
