advice please, on looking at many photos of cars for sale, I personally feel that the dash looks spoilt if not the original veneer finish, I work with aluminium and stainless steel all week and I wouldn`t really want to see it in my car at the weekend.
so dont buy one like it I here you say, but sometimes the colour of the car and the interior leather colour really looks like thats the one for me, until I see a stainless or ally dash fitted.
so rather than be put off, is it easy enough or cheap enough to change it back to the original dash?

carbon fibre is an option ... there is someone local yp me who had a few made....PH name is Catriever I think...

a veneered one on ebay went for about £100 recently

Clive looks like you are so near to owning a Griff..... I personally compramised on interior and external colour because the car was so much better then anything else saw in my price range of £15k

I was the complete oppostie to you clive I think some dash look totaly out of place in veneer.. ie MINE.. yellow dials, black leather and then a wood dash just didnt do it for me so I went Carbon.

Like Hoover said shouldnt be hard if you want to change it to wood one and to be honest it will probably be better than the original ones tha chip easily as you might allready know. When i took the venner of the metal backing on mine I was surprised at how little glue had been used, it was no wonde the chip easily when flexed.
