Any Midlands PH'ers going to Le Mans this year?

I am taking the G33 if I can find enough petrol stations on my route! (10 gall tank doesn't last long)

Yep, we'll be there in the Aston. Doing the tunnel on Thursday morning, staying in a hotel near the circuit thursday and sunday night.

For friday and saturday, staying in Houx (the posh one) with 5 other cars.

Is the houx the one with the trees that the TVR owners club was in last year? I was in the Houx Annexe last year but couldn't get my bearing as to where anything was!

Yes. Its the most expensive one, but the best (in my opinion). It has shade, permenant toilet/ shower block, on-site shop which sells ice, and (most important of all) the plots are allocated by ticket. So, unlike anywhwere else you can get there at a reasonable time and know you're not fighting for space. If (like I do) you buy a block of six tickets for six people, you can also ensure you are all together.

I'm going.

Doing a bit of an experiment, really. I'm gonna see if I can camp at one of the Arnage carparks, and if so shan't move again. We'll be able to watch all the mad Friday antics that go on there from dawn til nighttime, and the arnage & Indianapolis bends are two of the very best if not the best corners on the track to watch the race from.

We'll walk into Arnage now & then for a bit of exercise, and for the odd proper meal. Shall buy race tickets for the Arnage enclosure only, which should be cheap. Shan't bother with faffing around with barbecues and buying more beer than we can actually drink etc, but shall just eat and drink what I can get at the track or the village.

We'll see how it turns out.

Well for the last minute travelers, I'm leaving Nottingham on Friday morning, or Thurday night if I can do some sweet talking.
Camping....well I say camping, it's not really, got a chalet booked about 30 minutes away from Le Mans, will be buying entrance tickets if we actually make it away from the bar, EuroSport and the girls in bikinis by the heated pool.
