Hi,

My passenger side brake light isn't working so I decided to take a look at the switch on the pedal. I put each wire on each contact and the drivers side light worked each time - does this implying the switch is OK? Should I check the loom or the fuses?

Also, since I did this, the speedo (and odometer) has stopped working - could I have disturbed something?

... and finally... there seems to be a marked pick up around 3k revs now... could this be linked to the speedo not working? Also, it seems significantly down on power under 3k and down on power over.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Phil.

On the brake light thingy, I had a similar problem with mine, which turned out to be the plugs on the actual loom at the brake light. Just reseat all the plugs and connectors at the brake light and try again... (If the driver's side light is working, the brake switch is working). You may also have a blown bulb, try swapping the two brake lights around to check...

On the 3k pick-up problem, I can't help, sorry. But I would reverse myself upside down into the footwell with a torch and reseat all connectors, plugs etcetera, as you may have loosened something while fiddling with the brake switch.

Good luck!
