IPod Q - what can I download to Ipod video (and how ?)
Discussion
As far as I'm aware, you can import any video into your iPod as you can photos from your PC. There should be an import tool within iTunes itself which will then get the stuff into iTune so that your iPod will then be updated.
You may have guessed that I haven't done it in a few months so can't be more definite!

http://keepvid.com/ has a function for exporting to iPod video format if that helps.
I use
www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/
not perfect - but easy enough to use. There is a very good tutorial out there but I can find it at the mo. Will have a look later. rgds

Got one yesterday, been playing with this : www.centralparkmedia.com/ipod/
You can drag the file out of 'my pictures' or wherever and drop it into itunes and it sorts itself out.

just got an ipod video and downloaded The Matrix on it. absolutely superb quality.
You can download any DVD onto your ipod by using Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converter. And the good news is that you don't need to be a techy. It even puts it into your itunes software which automatically syncs with ipod when ipod connected (i.e. downloads the movie onto the ipod).
The matrix is a 2h10min (ish) film and takes up 0.7gig (700mb) ish. So on a 30 or 60gb ipod there is loads of room.
Also downloaded the pussycat dolls music video (just as a ..ahem..test)... loving the music video stuff.

www.podtropolis.com is pretty good for getting the latest lost episodes and pretty much all American TV.
You need a bittorent client,as all the files that you download off that website are basically identification markers telling the bittorent client where the files are located on other peoples computers(hence why they are so small), the official one from www.bittorrent.com/ is supposed to be quite good but I use a mac so I'm not sure. Each bittorent program has its own quirks so your probably better off following the tutorial that comes with it. Once you have downloaded the video file you can just import it to itunes directly (File>Import) as they are h.264 files and scaled for the ipod. If you go to videos on the left hand in the playlist list you can then drag and drop the videos that come up onto the symbol of the ipod in the playlist list.
