Hi Wildfire,

I am trying to identify my S3s paint. I tried an online paint supplier who didn't recognise the code. Doing a search of the forum I came across an old post of yours that suggests your old S3 had the same paintcode as mine.

I have a metallic green S3 with the following code p422 p2382. Do you know what paint this is? Is it Rover BRG?

Sorry mate, I don't know the paint code. I sold the car to jon_s3 last year and he sold the car on last week, I have the paint formation ratios somewhere I can dig these out for you, or you could probably do a search and find them as I posted them once. The correct colour is 1991 Rover Cooper Green Metallic. BRG is generally Brooklands Racing Green when speaking about TVRs. This is a non metallic, much darker colour.

I know there are a couple of different paint formation ratios for this colour depending on what company the suppliers use. My little brother's Car is a 1991 Rover Mini Racing Green and the paint is the same.

But the paint formation changed as some of the original pigments are no longer available, and it also varied from year to year.

Those codes are ICI, a good paint shop will help you but if not, ring the factory and speak to the paintshop, they will give you the others code and colour. (they did for me)
