There seems to be renewed concerns about noise levels at this next VMax, have the DB limits been dropped???

I really really dont wanna loose £150 for just one run, but there has got to be at least 10 -15 cars on the list in excess of 100db static. I know for a fact that the 430 is 105db and the cs is 104db, mine may be as high as 107db, let alone the F40? How are we gonna be fixed, surely they won't ban cars en mass???

My Cerb is running a de-cated sports exhaust, I'm guessing 110dB. Last time with the SEAC it was running 113dB with no problems. I hope it won't be a problem this time.

I run a full decat straight through Sports exhaust on a chim 500 and never had a problem with noise at Vmax, even though its been measured at over 127 on over run and static at over the ton

The biggest problem i think is that the rarri's just scream the noise rather than burble very noisily - i'm not sure its a "noise" issue more of the type of noise created ??

Feel free to shoot me for talking out of turn though

CS is is 101db stationary 74db at driveby
430 is 105db staionary 78db at driveby

both are standard.

surely its the driveby figures that matter?

ok, apparently any non tubi'd ferraris should be fine, just had a chat with them. They basically said that if there are any particularly screamy cars on sunday they will tell me but standard f cars should be ok. Not sure about the 360 CS's as Kev's was very loud last time.

Kevins was an early Tubi for the CS, first in the UK I think. Was it a development one as well? I'm not sure.

Whatever it was I recall seeing a vid. clip of it and thinking how utterly glorious it sounded.

I vaguely recall reading about an NGT system on the car....I'm probably wrong.

How loud is the screamer pipe on the F40? I'll have to check when I get home, but I think a few single turbo Supra's had problems at brunters due to their screamer pipes- I'll get back to you on it later.

Justin- I agree that it may be that the FV8's noise simply carries a long way.

Thanks to GuyR, I know that an F40 has run at Drivers Run/Brunters fairly recently and what with the long standing problems with the local's I should imagine a standard F40 shouldn't present a problem.

The car did have a tubi on a while ago, but it was taken off.

More than one way to skin a cat. Free beer in the pub for the people of brunters all day!

What do the neighbours say about the jets then?

Ultima does 105db at 4,000 rpm- would this pass. Will bring my noise meter to see what each car does but I know Tony's black diablo recorded 113db ( I think) at one of the earlier vmax.

Hi I am still alive and will be there on Sunday!!!!

Hoping the 550 will pass muster on the noise levels, it is a standard Ferrari fit sports setup but it is pretty loud!!

Hoping not to end up in a cloud of white smoke this time...
