Have just realised that I haven’t officially ‘Big-Upped’ Silverstone Performance, for their sterling work on my 12K service last week.

I can honestly say that this is the first time ever that I have felt like I have had a very good deal with the service, and MOT. The guys at SP seem to know their stuff inside out, and it shows; they went at times, above and beyond the standard remit of the service, when I know that some others don’t even carry out even the basest of service required checks. They were not prepared to let me have the Tam back until they were completely happy all ‘niggles’ were sorted.
I feel they have been never less than honest and open regarding what may need doing in the future (clutch and the slightly worn valve guides being two).
The car does very noticeably drive better, and the idle is a spot on 850rpm, whatever the temp of the engine.
We are 90 miles away, but I shall not hesitate to take the car there again, no matter how much hassle it may be it getting it there, bringing it back, the level of service and attention my car got once there is well worth it 1000 fold.
Thoroughly, completely, wholeheartedly recommended, I feel I got more than my money’s worth.
