Weight and BHP per ton

When people quote weight is it usually dry and if so what does that mean, no fluids at all, inc oil etc or just less fuel.

For instance a Lambo or ferrari 575 are quoted at aroung 1850kgs is this dry or wet?

Also when they quote BHP per ton what metrics do they use and what is the norm ie dry weight in kgs etc...

I believe the weight the mags tend to use is the 'kerb' weight which is all fluids and half a tank of fuel with no passengers or driver. Lets face it a lot of us diminsh the power weight ratio considerably especially after Xmas!

Sounds right to me ....... Kerb weight, as in, what a car weighs when sat there ready to drive.

Edited to add ...... The bhp/ton would be maximum power divided by kerb weight in KG's (or is it the other way around)
