This is very hard to say but... I'm losing my parking space at work and will probably have to sell my Tamora (very very sad). I have no idea how much to advertise her for. She's June 2004 and has done about 3,600 miles. Mint condition, apart from a smallish key scratch which I will get (properly) sorted very soon. Any ideas on value? Do you think any dealers would put her in their show room and take a commission?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I know London TVR have done this in the past, as have the TVR Centre (I bought a customer car from them).

Probably worth a quick phone around to check.

You've only done 3,600 miles in 20 months! Sounds like you won't miss her much!

C'mon guys, give me a break! I've looked after my baby with love and care... checking oil and water every week, never going over 2k revs until she was 60c, never parking up until she was 70c and enjoying her for wonderful weekend moterway blasts to clear out the weekly london traumas! But, yes, I hope she goes to a good home - and YES I will regret it! So..... how much should I advertise her for???

I was bid £24K by more than one dealer for our 2005 55 car with similar mileage to yours.

How does the parking space matter? You either live next door, or don't drive to work!

I was thinking that he has also lost the job that the parking space came with.

No Job............No TVR

Sorry if I have that wrong but it was just a thought

Nope haven't lost the Job. No parking at work means I wont be driving to work every day, which means poor Tammy will stay parked all week long and only driven on the weekend (assuming I'm not away). For that I will still have to pay for parking permits for my local area, Insurance, Tax, Servicing etc. Already have a second car with much needed 4 seats (we have a baby!). I haven't actually decided to sell yet but it looks very likely!

Here's what the rest of us don't get.

You have only done 3,600 miles in 20 months, while using it to commute to work. That's nothing. People put more on their cars when they drive them twice a month. All you'd need to do is more than 100 miles twice a MONTH for 20 months to exceed 3,600 miles.

Do you live within walking distance of work or something? What do you mean, give you a break? You didn't use the car before. You won't use it now. Sell it to someone who will and quit being a poser.

Just to prove a point ....................
We've had our Sagaris for 10 months and only use it at weekends and it has just gone in for it's 12,000 mile service.

If by "poser" you mean I am a riddle then you are possibly correct! Perhaps you mean "poseur"???

Anyway, yes yes yes, I KNOW I don't drive the car enough. If therefore I'm going to drive her even less, then its better to sell to someone who will drive her. Thanks for all the kind help anyway...
