how could i improve it?

here is a picture i took on a plane a while ago, all ive done is to crop out the jet engine that was in the picture and put in a border. if you would improve it what would you do???

Assuming you've got Photoshop, I'd:
1) Rotate it CCW so the horizon is level.
2) Using Levels, bring up the blacks.

Did you shoot this RAW? If so, you might want to try and reduce the exposure in your processor to bring back some of the blown hightlights in the sun.

no it wasn't unfortunately was just taken using my old sony digicam 3.2MP 3x zoom, not any of my better stuff.

Oops, you mean in PS - agree with the other comments though. Don't know whether a fractionally different crop would work by taking sun off-centre?.
