sad news...lovely pre-cat now reluctantly for sale

Unfortunately, my girlfriend has just resigned from her part time job.
she did a great job but didn't get the support from her employers and was left with no option.
what this means is that the Griff has to be sold to make some needed revenue.
having just bought the thing, it pains me to say that my plan has gone awry.
the v5 documentation hasn't arrived back to me yet obviously and a few receipts for recent jobs done to the car are on the way to me from the previous owner.
i dont intend to make any profit from the car and am just looking for what i paid: £8.6k. if anyone is interested in a pre-cat at a bargain price get in touch with me.
Top-bloke Ian from Middlewich is going to have a look at the car this weekend hopefully, and the car will be given an injector clean as well as fed with some 10 40 synthetic to flush out all the mobil 1 that its been run on.

its quite bizarre how a simple phone call can change things. i knew i was on a tight budget and if anything happened like this it would mean selling the car.
still feel like doing the changes i said i would do to the interior. i may even be able to do the changes before the v5 comes back to me but obviously the price of the car would go up a little.
dont want to put it on ebay because the car should belong to someone who can really apprecaite it. Ian is already aware that it is for sale and he will spread the word.

Sorry to hear this g-boy, especially as how excited you were when you got it.
I know the feeling, has happened to me before as well, but in the end everything happens for the right reasons, and next time you can make sure you buy the faster one...(everyone know's black ones are the quickest..
)

I'm sure you could get more than £8.6K if you advertised it in a few places (not eBay) - if it's in good condition with average miles it's got to be worth £10K surely?
Can't you keep it until she gets another job? If you don't drive it, it woun't use any petrol...

Good idea, I've also heard of some insurance policies which are very cheap if it's tucked away in a garage un-used, might be worth considering as you're gf could find another job in a week or two

hi, many thanks but the situation is not that bad. it was just a case of dedication that got no reward. the company involved simply cared about the reward they were due and not what was given by my girlfriend. sad state of affairs really.

what about selling the griff, buying a wedge and having money left over. Granted it's love or hate styling, but still a V8, a bundle of fun and the most fanatical owners you will ever meet.
